Beyond the Full Course Pre- and Post-Diagnostic Assessments, there are Pre- and Post-Tests within each module or topic, that will help you determine what material you know well, and what you might need to brush up on with some additional practice before class.
The Overview summarizes the skills found in the practice exercises and activities for each topic so you know what will be covered and where to find it within the module.
Check out Videos on key issues, recorded ‘by other students, for students like you’ organized by topic. It’s one thing to hear advice or ‘tips’ from a fellow student, but it takes skill to build up your vocabulary and communication skills and internalize that information in a way you can use it—or pass it on to a friend.
Practice exercises, intended as self-paced tutorials, prepare you for class and build your ‘confidence before it counts’ on the graded activities—after class. Again, there’s no shortcut for practice. You’ve simply got to put in the work in order to do your best!
You need to know how to ‘think outside the box’, approach situations logically, and use ‘common sense’ when it counts. Graded activities will help you ‘prove’ that you’ve mastered a topic by using your critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and more importantly, learn how to apply these skills to your own life. You’ll use Word®, PowerPoint®, and Excel® to help build your portfolio of skills, which will set you apart to future employers and/or internship possibilities.
